Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)
• At least 21 years of age
• US Citizen
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• MO POST Certification preferred

Testing and Hiring Process

• Written Exam
• Physical Agility Test
• Oral Interview
• Intensive Background Investigation
• Drug Screening
• Medical Screening
• Psychological Evaluation (after conditional offer)
• Six-month probationary period after hire with pay increase upon successful completion of probationary period.

Agency Culture

The Palmyra Police Department is a small agency that allows its officers to be as proactive as they want.
